Well hello friend! I’m so glad you’re here!
Ok, so before you spend your precious time delving into the deep intricacies of my curious and complicated brain, let’s get to know each other a bit.
I’m a feisty Colombian on the verge of 40, still chasing dreams and facing fears. I met my hunky Russian, cowboy-wannabe, in January of 2014 on a 101 acres of farmland in Missouri, which was being used as a live-in addiction recovery facility. I was working for a TV show at the time, highlighting ministries that were Building A Difference in people’s lives. He had a God-sized testimony and was using it to help bring others through addiction recovery. It wasn’t long when we decided that God had a crazy big plan for our lives together. Since then, we have been on a mental, spiritual and physical journey through depression, addiction, anger, jealousy, and pride. We are in the process of writing our first book together to encourage other couples to still choose each other in the darkest, most painful moments of their lives. God has blessed us with two of the hunkiest, smartest, freakishly strong boys you’ll ever meet, ages 1 & 2 (who happened to also be miracle babies born to this girl, who didn’t think she could have kids).
Needless to say, my Heavenly Poppa has weaved a beautiful tapestry with my life so far. It has been excruciating at times and absolutely, overwhelmingly overflowing with Holy Spirit love and power in between.
Here in my space, you will read about real life struggles, failures, fears and victories. You will travel deep into my heart and hopefully be encouraged and find healing through my pain. You may also come up for air and find some yummy Colombian/Russian recipes, healthy plant-life tips, mom hacks and products I love to share with my favorite people.
My life has always been an open book, as is my heart… so please feel free to comment, share your opposite perspective, and some much needed encouragement! (My love language is words of affirmation so bring me all the words!) I need all the help I can get to keep taking one step after another!!
Love and blessings to you all! xoxo Mary
