A decade ago, I would have never, EVER, imagined my life would look like this. The 8 years leading up to my wedding day I remained single, celibate, and searching for my purpose in His Kingdom. I traveled with the Women of Faith for 6 years, mentored young girls and led women’s groups, published a teen magazine and became an advocate for women empowering women. And then my world turned on it’s head…

On July 26th I’m packing my bags and hopping a flight to North Carolina to fulfill a dream I’ve had for a long time: to attend the She Speaks Conference with Lysa TerKeurst and pitch my book idea to a real live publisher. My UNWRITTEN book. The scariest part… it’s not just an idea… it’s my life. The life that I have kept secret from everyone except those closest to me. The life behind the highlight reel.

For my 40th birthday, my husband not only gave me the to buy the tickets, but has given me his blessing to tell our story, no matter how painful or dark it would be. So as I walk out this journey and begin lifting the curtain, I’d appreciate all of your prayers, your encouragement, and your understanding as this is a very difficult story to tell. I’m battling anxiety just thinking of sharing the title with you, but I know with God, I can face anything.
