I realized that many of you have been to meetings, heard me talk a bit about this project, and maybe have talked amongst yourselves regarding the details of the work we are doing… however… I just realized that I never really shared my heart and my future vision for this ministry!
THEREFORE….
Without forcing you to read my entire business plan, I have listed 3 main points about God’s vision for CultureShock:
1. Our goal is to break down the walls of Christianity through the youth of the city, our future leaders, so that we do not see “divisions” and “denominations” but ONE body of Christ!
2. We want to develop a culture within our city (and eventually other cities in the nation) where the teens can feel “connected” to each other (even across church lines), connected to the city (by learning to serve and change their community), and connected to our team (that will serve as YOUTH LEADERS of our city and will develop relationships with our youth through emails, through their presence at events, and through outreach projects)
3. We are NOT another national publication where the team and the content is disconnected to the heart of each child. We want to have a team of “Culture Shock youth leaders” in each city to create this “community culture.” After creating a perfect model of our “culture” here in JAX, the goal is for our core management team to travel and temporarily reside in various cities long enough to re-create this “culture” across the country, creating their very own staff of youth leaders, pastors, & teens, etc. in each “CSM” community.
I believe God is telling me that it is through loving these kids, being available to them, understanding their needs in their own city, and truly caring enough to provide ways for them to fight to change this world that we are REALLY going to make a difference!
Remember our mission:
Spread the Word… Inspire the Soul… Heal the Body… Unify the World”
Hey I think this is really cool! It’s really encouraging to see someone who is strong in faith with the Lord. God Bless! Praise his glorious name! He is awesome!
